The primary program of the Gamma Theta Lambda Education Foundation is to award scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are going on to college. These scholarships are announced each year at the annual scholarship luncheon.
Other major programs include the implementation and funding of programs such as:
- Project Alpha, a curriculum aimed at increasing the knowledge of African-American males about the consequences of teenage pregnancy from the male perspective in cooperation with the March of Dimes
- Go to High School – Go to College, a program that seeks to prevent high school dropouts and encourage attending college through goal setting, career guidance/counseling, and mentorship/tutoring.
